Viking has opened bookings for its new 2027 itineraries on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. Guests can reserve the 15-day “Bayous, Blues & Bluegrass” voyage sailing between New Orleans and Louisville, as well as the 8-day “Mississippi & Ohio River Explorer” itinerary operating between Memphis and Louisville.
Both cruises will be operated aboard the Viking Mississippi, a 386-guest vessel featuring 193 all-outside staterooms. In addition to the new sailings, travelers can book longer and shorter voyages such as the 22-day “Mississippi River Odyssey” and the 8-day “Mississippi Delta Explorer.”
As part of the Viking Savings Event running through February 28, guests can save up to 35 percent on all-inclusive voyages, receive free international airfare, and secure bookings with a $25 deposit on select 2026–2028 river, ocean, and expedition itineraries.
Chairman and CEO Torstein Hagen noted that travelers are drawn to destinations rich in history, culture, and culinary traditions. He emphasized that many towns along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers, though close to home for many guests, remain largely undiscovered and offer unique experiences.
