Air India is expanding its global network for the Northern Summer 2026 schedule with upgraded aircraft and increased frequencies on key international routes. Between February and March 2026, the Delhi–Tokyo (Haneda) route will begin operating with Boeing 787-9 aircraft in a three-class configuration. Flights between Delhi and Toronto will see increased frequency during the same period, along with additional services to Seoul (Incheon) and Shanghai.
Starting July 1, 2026, the Mumbai–London (Heathrow) route will be served by newly delivered and retrofitted aircraft featuring upgraded cabin interiors. On the same date, Delhi–Melbourne flights will introduce upgraded Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with First Class. From August 1, 2026, Bengaluru–London (Heathrow) services will operate with retrofitted aircraft offering Premium Economy cabins.
Most Delhi–Toronto flights will also transition to upgraded Boeing 787-9 aircraft by mid-2026. These enhancements are part of Air India’s broader fleet modernization program aimed at improving passenger comfort, boosting capacity, and strengthening its international presence.
